metro station project at Nordhavnen

90.000 m3 surplus soil removes from the metro station project at Nordhavnen
The projected metro station at Nordhavnen is a part of the new Metro City Ring in Copenhagen. The excavation includes the station and a tunnel connecting the present S-train station with the projected metro station. A travellator of 90 meter will make an easy access between the stations. The metro station will be situated northeast of the intersection between Århusgade and Kalkbrænderihavnsgade.
About 90.000 m3 surplus soil will be removed of the former coastline which was manmade for the construction of the Freeport (Frihavnen) back in the 1890’s.
